The historical region of Mandrolisai \u2014 also known as Barbagia de Mandrolisai \u2014 is one of the most authentic and evocative sub-regions of central Sardinia, located between the offshoots of Gennargentu and inland Barbagia. Historically it was <\/span>curator of the Giudicato di Arborea and still today retains a strong cultural, landscape and food and wine identity resulting from centuries of rural and pastoral presence. <\/p>\n

The anthropic dimension of Mandrolisai can be discovered in the villages with a strong and authentic character, where the villages are intertwined with ancient traditions, craftsmanship and historical textures that are still recognizable today.<\/p>\n

Atzara<\/b><\/u><\/span><\/span><\/a> is a village of medieval origins surrounded by vineyards and woods; it preserves a historic center with traditional granite architecture and houses the Antonio Ortiz Echag\u00fce Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, which celebrates the artistic and cultural history of the town, also linked to the local school of painting. <\/span> <\/p>\n

Desulo<\/b><\/u><\/span><\/span><\/a> is a mountain village perched on a slope of the Gennargentu massif, known for its traditional stone architecture and historic alleys.<\/span>.
