B&B Nuraximannu
Located in the Barrua De Basciu area, 3 km from the village of Santadi, B&B Nuraximannu is a 5-hectare estate offering rooms with free Wi-Fi, private bathroom and TV. Parking is free and bicycles are available to guests. Rooms are simply furnished and feature tiled floors. Each is equipped with mosquito nets and a desk. Breakfast includes homemade cakes and cookies, along with homemade jams, bread and fruit.
It is situated in a location from which it is easy to reach the sea, the renowned Is Zuddas caves, numerous archaeological sites (such as the nuragic complex of Barumini), the coal mines of Serbariu (Carbonia), the city of Cagliari and the beautiful Pantaleo forest, the largest Mediterranean scrubland in Europe.
The property is surrounded by a park of about 5 hectares consisting of Mediterranean scrub, fruit trees and an olive grove that produces an excellent Oil.
The park is completely fenced off and is available to guests who can take relaxing walks disturbed only by the tinkling of the bells of goats and sheep grazing in the surrounding grounds.
A few kilometers from the B&B, in the center of the town of Santadi are the restaurant pizzeria Licu e Giannicu and the osteria vineria Cibus, where you can taste typical local dishes and pizza and from 7:30 p.m. they also offer tasty aperitifs outdoors. There are also excellent agritourisms in the area.
Wine lovers can visit the Santadi social winery, which produces some of Sardinia’s finest wines. Also nearby is the dairy from which you can buy excellent sheep’s milk cheeses of all ages, ricotta and goat’s milk cheeses. In the village you can buy and admire handicrafts including the characteristic knives of cutler Beniamino Vacca.
